Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maiko Ruzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grzegorz Kalinowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grzegorz Kalinowski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kalinowski.
Kalinowski throws a chopping leg kick but Ruzuki manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Grzegorz Kalinowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ruzuki looking to score a takedown here. Kalinowski is defending well but Ruzuki drives through and ends up in Kalinowski's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ruzuki is pushing down on Kalinowski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kalinowski is fighting to maintain full guard but Ruzuki has managed to sneak the leg through.

Ruzuki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ruzuki moves nicely into side control.
Kalinowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ruzuki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ruzuki has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kalinowski moves out of range as Ruzuki throws a body kick.

Good leg kick by Kalinowski there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kalinowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ruzuki takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Ruzuki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ruzuki lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kalinowski has a closed guard, preventing Ruzuki from standing up.

Ruzuki gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Ruzuki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kalinowski circles away.
Kalinowski throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Ruzuki feints and as Kalinowski raises his hands in defense, Ruzuki changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ruzuki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ruzuki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ruzuki slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ruzuki is taking a breather. Kalinowski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ruzuki works his foot free and advances to mount.

A head kick from Kalinowski lands but Ruzuki takes it in his stride.
Ruzuki has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kalinowski finds it's way round the side to connect with Ruzuki's head.

It looks like Maiko Ruzuki has been cut.
Horrible takedown by Ruzuki or perhaps it was just good defense by Kalinowski which made him look bad.
Kalinowski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kalinowski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ruzuki.
Ruzuki doesn't manage to clinch there - Kalinowski circles away.
Kalinowski fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kalinowski misses with an attempted mid kick.

Ruzuki drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ruzuki stays in close to Kalinowski's body and controls the position.
Ruzuki could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kalinowski looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ruzuki has picked Kalinowski up and slammed him! Kalinowski can't keep hold of the triangle and Ruzuki manages to pass to side control!

Ruzuki grinds an elbow into Kalinowski's temple.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ruzuki is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kalinowski will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Ruzuki seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kalinowski for as long as he can get away with.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Ruzuki is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kalinowski can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ruzuki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ruzuki is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Ruzuki!
