The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Modric keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Terumo plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Terumo pushes Modric up against the ropes in a clinch.
Modric scores with a nice hook to the head.

It looks like Bruno Terumo has been cut.
Terumo tries a body shot but Modric blocks it.

Modric escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Modric bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Modric connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Modric fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Modric avoids the head kick by Terumo.
Terumo throws a head kick that misses
and Modric counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Terumo throws a sloppy head kick and Modric moves out of range easily.
Terumo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Terumo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Modric's sensitive parts.

Terumo throws a right and a left that Modric avoids nicely.
Terumo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Modric rather than just go for the knockout.
The crowd cheers as Modric lands an impressive looking overhand right. Terumo doesn't seem phased though.

Modric throws a nice looking combination but Terumo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bruno Terumo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Modric rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Terumo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Terumo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Modric.
Terumo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Terumo throws a push kick but Modric slaps the foot to one side.
Modric lands a jab to Terumo's midsection.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Terumo is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Modric just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Terumo has gone limp and this one is over!
