Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dagonet McLoughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLoughlin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kutt Calhoun- Self Preservation kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

McLoughlin is pushing Penn's head away, looking to escape. Penn manages to hold on to the position though.

Penn is looking to take a break and control but McLoughlin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McLoughlin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Penn postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McLoughlin looks a forlorn figure.

McLoughlin is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Penn is working for a guillotine from mount but McLoughlin frees his head quite easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McLoughlin is trying desperately to improve position.

Penn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McLoughlin, pushing him back against the cage.

McLoughlin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Penn circles away quickly and effectively.
McLoughlin misses with a few strikes there.
Penn ducks under a wild hook from McLoughlin.
McLoughlin looks to land a combination. Penn sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Penn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McLoughlin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Penn. Penn circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McLoughlin slaps away a takedown attempt from Penn, before circling back to the center of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McLoughlin looks to land a combination but Penn avoids it well.
No luck for Penn with that takedown attempt.

Penn dives in and grabs McLoughlin's left leg, looking for a takedown. McLoughlin pushes down on Penn's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJ Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McLoughlin clobbers Penn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
McLoughlin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Penn backs up against the cage.

Penn is rocked!
Penn shoots in for a double leg but McLoughlin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oh Penn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McLoughlin darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Penn's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles McLoughlin before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
