Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arkadiusz Klepaczka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Cavanhas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ari Cavanhas!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klepaczka feints and as Cavanhas raises his hands in defense, Klepaczka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Cavanhas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Klepaczka is one step ahead there.
Klepaczka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Klepaczka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cavanhas escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Klepaczka gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Klepaczka shoots in but Cavanhas avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cavanhas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Klepaczka shoots in looking for a takedown. Cavanhas tries to sprawl out of it but Klepaczka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Cavanhas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cavanhas closes the distance and clinches up with Klepaczka, looking for a takedown. Cavanhas pushes Klepaczka against the ropes but Klepaczka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Klepaczka fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cavanhas to the ground. Klepaczka is now in Cavanhas's guard.
