Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Roth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roth has chosen Shawn Michaels - Sexy Boy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mason is fending him off so far but Roth persists. Nope, Mason circles away and we're back to standing.
Mason swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mason tries to work over Roth's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Roth looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Roth wants to take the fight to the mat but Mason manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Roth lands a good knee to the midsection. Mason won't want to take too many of those.
Roth tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Roth is looking to control Mason's arms but Mason gets an underhook and turns him. Now Roth has his back to the cage.

Roth gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mason regains guard.
Mason utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mason wants to get back to his feet but Roth is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mason is trying to keep Roth in close.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Roth throws an elbow that misses. Mason uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roth's guard. Nice move by Mason!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Roth decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Roth wants to free his trapped foot but Mason is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Mason tries to get to full guard but Roth has control of the leg.

Roth seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
