Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Bitag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryder Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Straight Outta Compton as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ben Bitag has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Bitag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryder Brown!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown looks to clinch

and Bitag counters with a single leg into guard. Brown didn't expect that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bitag seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bitag landing some decent shots from guard.
Bitag postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Brown had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bitag defends it easily.

Bitag is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Bitag stands up over Brown, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bitag scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Brown has his foot on Bitag's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bitag works his way back into a safe position though.
Bitag looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bitag's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Brown is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bitag is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bitag has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bitag not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Brown wants to sweep here but Bitag controlling him for the moment.
Bitag connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown keeping moving, preventing Bitag from controlling successfully.
Bitag lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bitag scoring with punches to the head and body.


Brown is rocked!
Bitag gets to his feet and stands over Brown, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Brown felt that one! Bitag unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Brown from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Bitag!
Ben Bitag tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
