These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walsh tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Walsh swings widly with a right hand
and Silva counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Walsh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Walsh wants to clinch but Silva slips to the side
and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Walsh will be more careful next time no doubt.
Walsh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ben Walsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walsh pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walsh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Walsh closes the distance but Silva moves to the side

and Silva counters with a crisp right hand that drops Walsh! Silva lets Walsh back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Walsh is rocked!

It looks like Ben Walsh has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
