Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liege dodges the punch combination from Palo.
Liege feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Liege drops back, looking for a kneebar! Palo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Palo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Palo!
Palo decides to stand back up. Palo steps back and let's Liege get back to his feet.
Palo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Liege circles away quickly and effectively.
Palo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Liege to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Liege drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Liege jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Liege looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Palo is fending him off so far but Liege persists. Nope, Palo circles away and we're back to standing.

Palo looks to land a body kick but Liege moved away.
Liege takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Liege throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palo's waist but Palo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Liege off to one side.

Liege changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palo tries to avoid it but Liege manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palo to the ground. Palo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Palo scores with a one two! Liege had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Liege is rocked!
Liege gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Palo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
