PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard Link (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Link is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mr. Trololo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dudley Bradshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gerard Link!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bradshaw shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bradshaw is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Link defends it well.

Bradshaw tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bradshaw has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bradshaw shoots in looking for a takedown but Link manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bradshaw's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bradshaw. Link does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Bradshaw throws a shot from downtown. Link moves away and avoids it.
Bradshaw shoots in but no luck this time.
Link pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bradshaw back to the cage. Link follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Bradshaw takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Well Bradshaw has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Dudley Bradshaw rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
