The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaluma tries a head kick but it misses.

Smith rushes Kaluma and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kaluma is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Kaluma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaluma has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Clinched against the cage, Smith lands a big elbow that drops Kaluma! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Kaluma is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
