The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voki has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Barnett.

Barnett throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Voki stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Barnett follows into mount!

It looks like Mako Voki has been cut.

Barnett wants to pass to mount but Voki is defending the position.

Barnett must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Barnett decides to stand back up. Barnett steps back and let's Voki get back to his feet.

Mirko Barnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Voki doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnett circles away.
Voki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barnett tries to avoid it but Voki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barnett to the ground. Barnett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
