Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Pockett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alistair Nauman!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nauman.
Nauman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Pockett closes the distance and pushes Nauman back into the cage.
Nauman landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Nauman jumps guard but Pockett stands there with Nauman around his waist. Nauman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pockett wants to get back to striking at distance but Nauman won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Pockett's face as he tries to break the clinch.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Nauman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pockett shoots in looking for a takedown but Nauman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pockett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Pockett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nauman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pockett somewhat.
Nauman moves in looking to clinch but Pockett pushes him off.
Nauman tries to close the distance and clinch but Pockett swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pockett drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nauman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Pockett.
Well Pockett has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
