The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Maxwell enables Forbes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Maxwell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Forbes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Maxwell wants to stand and escape but Forbes is having none of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Connor Forbes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close round but I would say that Sergio Maxwell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Forbes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Maxwell pulls his leg out and moves away.

Forbes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maxwell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
