Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neil Sillman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrik Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Neil Sillman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kendrik Dean!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Kendrik Dean has been cut.

It looks like Neil Sillman has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sillman fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sillman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Dean closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sillman quickly recovers to half guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dean cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
BOOM! Dean connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Kendrik Dean dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dean throws a hook to the side of Sillman's head but Sillman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sillman moves out of range of the body kick from Dean.
Dean loads up on a big right hand but Sillman slips the punch.
Sillman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dean wants to clinch up but Sillman keeps it at a distance.

Dean takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

and Sillman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sillman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Sillman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dean manages to avoid it.
Sillman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Dean takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Dean throws a lazy uppercut
and Sillman counters with a nice body shot.
Sillman lands a nice shot that snaps Dean's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sillman jabs Dean right on the nose. Dean blinks but takes it well.
Dean shoots in for a takedown but Sillman shows good takedown defense.

Dean shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sillman scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Dean throws a right hand that Sillman ducks under and follows up with a left that Sillman also avoids with ease.
Dean's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sillman connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dean scrambles back to his feet.
Sillman slips a jab from Dean.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dean looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sillman keeps the fight on the outside.
Sillman swings for the body but Dean moves out of range.
Kendrik Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sillman just misses with a punch to the body.

Dean is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Dean looking to sit in guard and control but Sillman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dean is on top in guard.
Dean seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dean is working Sillman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dean is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sillman defends it well.

Dean tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sillman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Sillman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Dean takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dean is looking to clinch.

Sillman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sillman wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Sillman. That snapped Dean's head back.

Sillman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dean eats them both and turns towards Sillman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Dean tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sillman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dean somewhat.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dean connects with a nice short shot to Sillman's temple.
