Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele clobbers Saukko with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Saukko throws a combination. Steele tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like George Steele has been cut.

Steele feints a jab promting Saukko to slip. Steele then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Saukko slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Saukko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steele moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Saukko shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Steele eats them both and turns towards Saukko to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Saukko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Saukko has hold of Steele's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Steele tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Saukko cranks the arm and Steele screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Steele, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
