Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Simler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apo Abukay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Apo Abukay!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simler throws a shot from downtown. Abukay moves away and avoids it.
Simler circles away from the clinch attempt.
Abukay wants to clinch
and Simler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Abukay tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Simler counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Simler throws a right and a left that Abukay avoids nicely.

Abukay gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Simler to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Abukay manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simler has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Abukay working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Abukay keeps control of the position as Simler tries to break free.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Abukay is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Simler has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Abukay has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Simler taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Abukay doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Apo Abukay!
Apo Abukay made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'did you crack my teeth men? I guess not hehehe'.
