Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Davy Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Davy Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walsh is fending him off so far but Emelianenko persists. Nope, Walsh circles away and we're back to standing.
Walsh is looking to clinch but Emelianenko is avoiding it.
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but Walsh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Emelianenko closes the distance and clinches up with Walsh, looking for a takedown. Emelianenko pushes Walsh against the cage but Walsh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Davy Walsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Emelianenko.

Walsh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Emelianenko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walsh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Emelianenko somewhat.
Walsh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Emelianenkos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walsh as he avoids it easily.

No luck for Emelianenko with that takedown attempt.
Walsh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Walsh cracks a nice hook into Emelianenko's ribs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown by Emelianenko or perhaps it was just good defense by Walsh which made him look bad.
Walsh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emelianenko's waist but Emelianenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walsh off to one side.

Walsh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Emelianenko is fending him off so far but Walsh persists. Nope, Emelianenko circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Emelianenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walsh pinned against the cage. Walsh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Emelianenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walsh's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Davy Walsh will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

I would just about give that final round to Ivan Emelianenko.
I think Emelianenko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
