The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montes throws a nice looking combination but Dowe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Montes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dowe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Montes scrambles back to his feet.

Dowe tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Montes presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Montes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dowe can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well Montes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
