Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robert E Conan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conan throws a sloppy head kick and Jom moves out of range easily.
Jom works Conan's body with a nice hook.
Jom has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Conan.
Jom avoids the body shot from Conan.
Jom throws an overhand right that lands on Conan's shoulder, as Conan tries to avoid the shot.
Conan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Conan drops his shoulder and cracks Jom with a huge uppercut! Jom goes down! Can Conan finish him?
Jom is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Conan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jom is still in real trouble! Can Conan finish him?
Conan throws an elbow that misses. Jom uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Conan's guard. Nice move by Jom!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Conan is on top in guard.
Conan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Conan passes Jom's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Conan lands strikes from half guard.
Nice strikes from Conan there.
Jom has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Conan is working away from the top position though.
Conan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Conan moves into full mount! Jom won't be happy about that!
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee warns Jom that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Conan cracks Jom with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert E Conan!
Robert E Conan decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
