Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yeshua Immanuel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hugh Matthews! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Matthews as he connects with a hook. Matthews misses with a straight left. Immanuel thuds a left hand into Matthews's body. Horrible takedown by Immanuel or perhaps it was just good defense by Matthews which made him look bad. Immanuel catches Matthews with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Immanuel tries to clinch up. Immanuel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Matthews avoids it really well and circles away. Immanuel moves out of range of the strikes. Nice body punch from Matthews. This has been an exciting period of action! Immanuel doesn't manage to clinch there - Matthews circles away.
Matthews misses with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matthews swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Matthews throws a hook but Immanuel blocks it. Immanuel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yeshua Immanuel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Immanuel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Matthews sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Immanuel lands a front kick. Immanuel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Immanuel defending well as Matthews loads up on a big left hand. Matthews swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matthews checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Matthews misses with a looping left. Immanuel lands a nice looking body kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Immanuel fails in his attempt to clinch. Matthews misses with a body shot.
Yeshua Immanuel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matthews throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Immanuel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Matthews counters with an inside leg kick. Matthews leaves Immanuel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Immanuel blocks a jab. Immanuel fails with the takedown and Matthews counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matthews throws a hook to the side of Immanuel's head but Immanuel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Matthews misses with a body kick. Immanuel shoots in looking for a takedown but Matthews manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Immanuel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Immanuel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matthews swats him away and circles back towards the center. Immanuel misses with a takedown attempt and Matthews counters with a lovely straight right hand! Immanuel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Matthews. Matthews is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Immanuel. A big right from Matthews misses. Immanuel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Matthews swivels and escapes. Immanuel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Matthews throws out a loose jab but Immanuel uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matthews lands a really nice looking cross but Immanuel seems unphased.
Immanuel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Matthews throws out the jab. Nice takedown defense from Matthews. No joy for Immanuel on that attempt. Matthews jabbing away but nothing is landing. Matthews misses with a straight right. Matthews misses with a double jab.
Immanuel with a lazy takedown attempt and Matthews counters with a straight right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Matthews gets tackled into the cage by Immanuel. Immanuel maintains the clinch. Immanuel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Matthews breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Immanuel misses with an uppercut. Matthews saw that one coming. Matthews thows a body shot but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hugh Matthews dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Matthews thows a left - swing and a miss! Immanuel moves out of range of the strikes. Nice uppercut there from Matthews.
Immanuel is rocked! Immanuel leaves his chin hanging out and Matthews seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Immanuel crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hugh Matthews! Hugh Matthews opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
