Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezio Doniteli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doniteli has chosen momma said knock you out-LL cool j as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ezio Doniteli was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joshua Estrada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ezio Doniteli!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doniteli misses with a takedown attempt - Estrada sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Doniteli thows a left - swing and a miss!
Doniteli throws an overhand right that lands on Estrada's shoulder, as Estrada tries to avoid the shot.
A punch combination from Doniteli misses.
Doniteli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Estrada throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Doniteli was covering up waiting for the punch and Estrada finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doniteli can't keep his opponent in guard - Estrada advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Estrada is looking to advance position but Doniteli won't allow it.

Estrada seems to be working for a kimura but Doniteli defends the submission attempt.

Estrada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Doniteli as he avoids it easily.

Doniteli leaves Estrada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Doniteli is working for takedown but Estrada is calmly controlling the position for now.

A frustrated look appears on Doniteli's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Ezio Doniteli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joshua Estrada.
I think Estrada has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
