Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damian Nitschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miau Subsi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Nitschke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miau Subsi!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Subsi swinging wildly here.
Nitschke scores with a jab to the head.
Nitschke keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nitschke displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Subsi throws out the jab.
Nitschke swings for the body but Subsi moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Nitschke checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Nitschke throws a lazy right hand but Subsi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Miau Subsi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Subsi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nitschke's knee momentarily.
Nitschke shoots in but Subsi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Subsi thows a body kick. Nitschke tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Subsi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nitschke throws a hook to the side of Subsi's head but Subsi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Subsi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Subsi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Subsi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nitschke was well out of range. Poor timing from Subsi.
Nitschke rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Subsi counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Subsi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nitschke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Subsi moves away.
Subsi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nitschke swivels and escapes.
Nitschke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Subsi.
Subsi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Subsi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nitschke has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Subsi.
Subsi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nitschke checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Subsi.
Nitschke scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Subsi lands with a kick to the ribs.
Subsi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Nitschke is out of range and Subsi settles back down.

Nitschke takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Subsi connects with a body shot that sends Nitschke's belly button to the back.
Nitschke is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Subsi.
Subsi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nitschke shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Subsi as he avoids it easily.

Nitschke steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Subsi. That one must have hurt.

Subsi gets caught flat footed, as Nitschke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Subsi is trying to keep Nitschke in close.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Subsi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Nitschke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Subsi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Nitschke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Subsi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Subsi tries to free his leg and advance position but Nitschke is retaining full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Miau Subsi will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Subsi counters with a good, hard body kick but Nitschke shrugs it off.
Nitschke chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Subsi can pounce on him.
Nitschke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Subsi.
Nitschke is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Subsi lands a nice shot to the body.

Nitschke bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Subsi's head.
An inside leg kick lands from Subsi.
Subsi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nitschke sprawls well. Nitschke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Subsi gets slowly back to his feet.
Nitschke throws the left hand but Subsi avoids the punch easily.
Nitschke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Subsi was well out of range. Poor timing from Nitschke.
Subsi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Subsi is looking to land body kicks.
Nitschke tests Subsi's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Nitschke misses with a lunging right hand
and Subsi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nitschke drops his shoulder and cracks Subsi with a huge uppercut! Subsi goes down! Can Nitschke finish him?


Subsi is rocked!
Nitschke gets to his feet and stands over Subsi, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Subsi felt that one! Nitschke unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Subsi from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damian Nitschke!
Damian Nitschke looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Thanks to everyone that supported me when I was going through rough times. I'm back, baby!'.
