Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Sergienko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Courtney Upshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Upshaw has chosen Retaliation as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sergienko throws a lazy uppercut
and Upshaw counters with a straight right hand.
Upshaw throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Upshaw misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sergienko slips a jab from Upshaw.
Upshaw looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Sergienko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Upshaw's waist but Upshaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sergienko off to one side.
Upshaw throws a right and a left that both miss.
Upshaw swings for the body but Sergienko moves out of range.

Sergienko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Upshaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Upshaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sergienko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Upshaw has managed to get both his arms back between Sergienko's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Upshaw keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sergienko's head.

A close round but Courtney Upshaw will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Courtney Upshaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sergienko fails with the takedown.
Sergienko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Upshaw scores with a jab to the head.
Upshaw shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sergienko eats them both and turns towards Upshaw to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Courtney Upshaw seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A jab from Upshaw finds it's way through Sergienko's defenses.
Upshaw bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Upshaw tries to bum rush Sergienko with a series of wild strikes but Sergienko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sergienko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Upshaw tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sergienko was well out of range. Poor timing from Upshaw.
Upshaw has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Upshaw throws a low kick but Sergienko moves out of range easily.

Upshaw scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
