The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robertson throws the left hand but Higga avoids the punch easily.

Higga closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Robertson to the mat! Robertson manages to get full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Robertson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Higga can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Higga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robertson pinned against the cage. Robertson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Higga is in close to Robertson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Robertson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Higga looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Higga looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Higga!
