Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between New Tall Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Palhares 's choice of entrance music: Flo Rida- 54321. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares looks for the body kick but Guy saw that one coming.
Palhares throws a push kick but Guy slaps the foot to one side.
Guy misses with a takedown attempt - Palhares sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Palhares decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy is breathing heavily.
Palhares is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Palhares .

Guy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palhares controls the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Palhares accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Guy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Palhares is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like New Tall Guy has been cut.

Guy has momentary wrist control but Palhares slips an elbow through the middle.
Palhares is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Guy can't keep his opponent in guard - Palhares advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Palhares in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Guy tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Palhares !

After winning the bout, Jake Palhares thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
