Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lelouch Laperouge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Deep!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deep blocks the body kick.
Laperouge looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The fighters circling - Laperouge throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Laperouge on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Laperouge looks to score with a jab to the body but Deep is just out of range.
Deep fails to land the takedown.
Deep gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Deep tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Deep bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Laperouge's guard.
Deep wants to control from the top but Laperouge keeps moving.
Deep passes Laperouge's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Deep is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Deep perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Let's hope that Deep has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Deep is looking for a kimura here.
Deep wants to take a breather but Laperouge is having none of it.
Well, if Deep is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Deep is trying to work for a kimura but Laperouge is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Deep wants to work for an arm triangle but Laperouge is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Laperouge is controlling Deep's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Deep looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Deep works his foot free and advances to mount.

Deep can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Laperouge is looking to escape.
Deep is working for a guillotine from mount but Laperouge frees his head quite easily.
Deep trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Deep working for a submission but Laperouge is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deep looking to control and managing it successfully.
Laperouge has given up his back. Will we see Deep going for some submissions?
Deep is not going to allow Laperouge to sit and survive in this position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Deep is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Laperouge is defending well though. Deep let's go of the attempt for now.

Laperouge won't enjoy being in this position. Deep looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Laperouge is tapping - it's over boys! Deep picks up the submission victory!
