Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a wild combination.
Felipe with a lazy takedown attempt
and Gracie counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Felipe has his takedown stuffed

and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gracie.
Gracie throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Gracie is pressed up against the ropes. Felipe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gracie down to the mat. Gracie avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wellingnton Felipe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Felipe slips a jab and a cross from Gracie.

Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Felipe.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gracie lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Felipe tries to pull guard but Gracie holds him up against the ropes and eventually Felipe drops back down to his feet.

Gracie jumps guard and drags Felipe to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chael Gracie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Felipe wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Felipe doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Felipe swivels and escapes.

Gracie clinches up against the ropes.
Felipe is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Gracie misses with the head strike.
Gracie lands a right hand.
Gracie throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Gracie swings wildly with an uppercut but Felipe uses good head movement to avoid it.

Gracie is pushing Felipe up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Gracie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wellingnton Felipe.
Felipe shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Felipe did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.

Gracie is taking a breather. Felipe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Chael Gracie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Felipe throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Sloppy strikes from Gracie. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Felipe shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Felipe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
