Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Vicent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Victor Vicent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chuck Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicent throws a head kick but Liddell moves out of range.
No luck for Liddell with that takedown attempt.
Vicent misses with a body punch

and Liddell counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Vicent is trying to push Liddell away but Liddell has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Liddell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Liddell is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vicent is defending well for now.

Liddell jumps guard.
Vicent sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Victor Vicent just wasn't active enough.

Vicent moves into the clinch successfully.

Vicent pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Liddell tries to clinch there but Vicent circles away.
Vicent scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Liddell checks the leg kick.
Vicent wants to slow Liddell down by chopping away at his legs.
Liddell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vicent swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vicent misses with an uppercut
letting Liddell counter with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Victor Vicent is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vicent looks for the body kick but Liddell saw that one coming.

Vicent swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Liddell has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vicent uses from the top position.
Liddell wants to stand and escape but Vicent is having none of it.

Vicent throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A clash of legs there as Liddell blocks the low kick.

Vicent looks to score with a jab to the body but Liddell is just out of range.
Vicent throws a jab but it's blocked by Liddell.
Liddell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vicent pinned against the cage. Vicent gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Liddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vicent.
Liddell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vicent moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Vicent misses with an attempted mid kick.
Vicent has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Vicent pushes Liddell away with a front kick.
Liddell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Vicent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liddell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vicent is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Vicent does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Liddell forces Vicent back against the cage and clinches.

Liddell is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Vicent to keep the fight standing.
Liddell scores a nice knee to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Liddell fails to pull guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Liddell misses with an elbow strike.
Vicent blocks the elbow strike.
Liddell is trying to pull guard but Vicent has him pressed against the cage.
Liddell jumps guard but Vicent stands there with Liddell around his waist. Liddell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Victor Vicent.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Vicent, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
