Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tau Okar!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Okar catches Kozlov right on the button with a cross.
Okar looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Okar takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Okar takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kozlov swings widly with a right hand
and Okar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Okar checks a leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Okar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The fighters circle, before Kozlov throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Okar's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Kozlov lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Ivan Kozlov!
A relieved looking Ivan Kozlov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
