Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Water!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Porter Chesthand!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chesthand misses with a combination
and Water counters with a leg kick.
Chesthand misses with a two punch combination.
Water moves out of range of the body kick.
A jab from Chesthand does it's job there.
Water is looking to clinch but Chesthand is avoiding it.
Chesthand pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Water tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Chesthand manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Water leaves Chesthand with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chesthand throws a body kick that misses
and Water counters with a big head kick but Chesthand shrugs it off.
Chesthand fails to land the takedown.
Chesthand misses with a low kick.
Chesthand jabs Water to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Chesthand throws a body punch but Water moves out of range.
Chesthand moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Chesthand throws a leg kick
and Water counters with a stiff right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chesthand swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chesthand misses with a wild body shot.
Chesthand throws a half hearted mid kick.
Chesthand slips a jab and a cross from Water.
Chesthand pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Chesthand just misses with a punch to the body.

Chesthand connects with a crisp jab.
Chesthand tries a low kick but Water avoids it.
Water ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Porter Chesthand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chesthand misses with a lunging right hand
and Water counters with a series of strikes. Chesthand will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jab, jab by Water - just one landing.


It looks like Porter Chesthand has been cut.
Chesthand misses with a body shot.
Chesthand tries to land a body kick
and Water counters with a solid body kick.

Water swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Chesthand gets tackled into the cage by Water. Water maintains the clinch.
Water throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chesthand blocks it with crossed arms.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chesthand throws a head punch that misses.
A frustrated look appears on Chesthand's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Water missing with knees to the body.
Water pushes off an throws an elbow but Chesthand leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chesthand blocks an elbow strike from Water.
Water looks to throw an elbow but misses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Chesthand slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Water tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chesthand swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chesthand takes a swing at Water's ribcage but misses.
Chesthand tries to score with a low kick but Water moves his leg out of the way.

Water tries to sprawl but Chesthand drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Chesthand stalling.
Chesthand throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Chesthand takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Porter Chesthand.
Chesthand shoots in for a double leg but Water sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Water is looking to clinch.
Chesthand tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Water was well out of range. Poor timing from Chesthand.
Chesthand steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Water.
Chesthand walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Water checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Water tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chesthand throws a body punch but Water moves out of range.
Water scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Water displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chesthand.
Water tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chesthand throws a hook but Water blocks it.
Sid Water is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chesthand throws a low kick but Water moves out of range easily.
Chesthand tries a low kick but Water avoids it.
Chesthand slips a jab and a cross from Water.

Chesthand throws a jab when Water was well out of range.
Chesthand takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A swing and a miss from Chesthand.

Chesthand drives through with a takedown into guard.
Water is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Porter Chesthand showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Chesthand fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Water manages to avoid it.
Water stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Water wants it to stay on the feet.

and Water counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Chesthand just misses with a elbow thrown towards Water's brow.
Water looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Water lands a damaging elbow.
Chesthand tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Water's elbow.

Water's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Water for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Water trying to control the position but instead, Chesthand has worked for underhooks and has pushed Water into the cage.

Porter Chesthand's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Porter Chesthand's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Sid Water!
Sid Water retains his middleweight title!
Sid Water spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
