Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spartacus Gladiator!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gladiator feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Barlow has his foot on Gladiator's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gladiator works his way back into a safe position though.
Barlow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gladiator's guard.
Barlow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gladiator swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Barlow avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gladiator wants to stand but Barlow is controlling the position.

Barlow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Barlow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barlow drops back looking for a leg! Gladiator is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gladiator manages to kick Barlow off! Barlow jumps back into Gladiator's guard.
Barlow stands up over Gladiator, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gladiator is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Barlow is aware though and is defending well.

Barlow tries to free his leg and advance position but Gladiator is retaining full guard.

Barlow drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barlow jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Barlow stands and throws Gladiator's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Barlow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barlow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Barlow is working Gladiator over with some ground and pound from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Barlow bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gladiator's head.
Barlow connects with a nice looking jab.
Gladiator tries to clinch but Barlow moves out of range.
Gladiator uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barlow.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Barlow feints and as Gladiator raises his hands in defense, Barlow changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barlow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gladiator is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Barlow has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Barlow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gladiator keeps working.
Barlow is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gladiator has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gladiator is looking to regain half guard here but Barlow keeps moving and retains side control.
Barlow passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gladiator!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gladiator defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Barlow.
Gladiator keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Barlow raining down hammerfists from mount.
Barlow wants to finish this one by submission but Gladiator is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Barlow.
Gladiator is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Barlow is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Barlow extends the arm and Gladiator is forced to tap!
