Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jokinen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams. Steele has chosen Freak On A Leash as his entrance music. George Steele has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Otto Jokinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Steele!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen cracks Steele with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


It looks like George Steele has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jokinen. Steele does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steele misses with a looping right.
Jokinen throws a sloppy head kick and Steele moves out of range easily.
Steele misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steele blocks the body kick.
Jokinen connects with a high kick.

Steele closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steele tries to throw a body punch but Jokinen avoids it by throwing Steele back against the cage.
Jokinen blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Steele managing to block the knees to the body from Jokinen.
Steele misses with some punches.
A short body shot lands from Steele as the two fighters clinch.
Steele lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Otto Jokinen has been cut.

Jokinen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Steele sizes up Jokinen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jokinen wants to clinch up but Steele keeps it at a distance.

A shot to the body from Jokinen misses
and Steele counters with a low kick, right behind Jokinen 's knee.
Otto Jokinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steele tries to land a leg kick but Jokinen saw it coming and moves away.

Steele clinches up against the cage.
Steele lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jokinen backwards.
Jokinen tries to land knees in the clinch but Steele avoids the damage to the body.
Jokinen tries to pull guard but Steele holds him up against the cage and eventually Jokinen drops back down to his feet.
Jokinen tries a knee to the head but Steele blocks it.
Steele lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Steele throws an elbow that misses.
Steele misses with a hook from the clinch.
Jokinen tries to land knees in the clinch but Steele avoids the damage to the body.
Steele tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Steele swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Jokinen is trying to push Steele away but Steele has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Steele's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Steele blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jokinen takes a shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steele wants to get back to striking at distance but Jokinen won't allow it.
Jokinen tries to land knees in the clinch but Steele avoids the damage to the body.
Jokinen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Steele smiles and moves away.
Jokinen just misses with a punch to the body.
Jokinen misses with an uppercut.
Jokinen moves out of range of the strikes.
A lazy body kick from Steele

and Jokinen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Steele scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Steele landing knees to the head.
A head punch on the inside from Steele fails to land.
A short uppercut from Steele.
Steele scores with a nice hook to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steele tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Steele lands a nice uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Steele.
Jokinen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Steele blocks it with crossed arms.
Steele swings wildly with an uppercut but Jokinen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Steele misses with a punch on the inside.
Jokinen scores with a shoulder strike.

Steele breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Steele throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jokinen looks to score with a jab to the body but Steele is just out of range.
Steele misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jokinen throws a body kick that misses.
Jokinen tries a head kick but it misses.
Jokinen is looking to clinch.
Jokinen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steele moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jokinen checks a leg kick.
Steele throws an overhand right that lands on Jokinen's shoulder, as Jokinen tries to avoid the shot.
That kick from Jokinen tenderised Steele's leg. Steele is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A low kick from Steele is predictable there
and Jokinen counters with a nice body shot.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jokinen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Steele - the referee stops the clock and Jokinen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Steele. Jokinen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Steele tries to work over Jokinen's front leg with a kick but Jokinen checks it.
Jokinen is looking to wear down Steele with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Jokinen tries to clinch there but Steele circles away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Steele misses with a low kick as Jokinen jumps back.
Steele throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Steele dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Steele misses with a wild body shot.
Steele lands with an overhand left.
Steele doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jokinen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Steele chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Steele keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Steele takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steele is looking to chop away at Jokinen's legs.
Jokinen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Steele is breathing heavily.
Jokinen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jokinen misses with an attempted mid kick.
George Steele is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Steele throws an overhand right that lands on Jokinen's shoulder, as Jokinen tries to avoid the shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jokinen avoids the head kick by Steele.
Steele tries to score with a low kick but Jokinen moves his leg out of the way.
Otto Jokinen is winning the standup battle so far.
Steele on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Jokinen works Steele's body with a nice hook.
Jokinen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steele on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


That has opened up George Steele's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jokinen lands with a good body shot.
Steele misses with a series of wild punches.
Jokinen throws the kick towards the body but Steele avoids it.
Jokinen has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Jokinen thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Steele if he has to take too many more of those.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jokinen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Steele sprawling to the canvas! Steele rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jokinen finish him?!


Steele is rocked!
Steele leaves his chin hanging out and Jokinen seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Steele crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Otto Jokinen!
