Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lianm Eddson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eddson.
Hunter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Eddson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hunter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Eddson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hunter checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Hunter is trying to drag Eddson to the mat but Eddson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hunter breaks from the clinch.
Eddson throws a sloppy head kick and Hunter moves out of range easily.
Eddson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hunter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eddson somewhat.
Eddson slaps away a takedown attempt from Hunter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lianm Eddson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Hunter.
Eddson shoots in looking for a takedown but Hunter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eddson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Eddson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hunter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eddson is in Hunter's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lianm Eddson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Eddson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hunter tries to avoid it but Eddson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hunter to the ground. Hunter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Eddson feints and as Hunter raises his hands in defense, Eddson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Lianm Eddson will probably get the nod.

Eddson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hunter did well to prevent Eddson getting side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hunter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Eddson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lianm Eddson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horrible takedown by Eddson or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Eddson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
