PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fallon Fox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fox comes into the arena with Take a Walk on the Wild Side blaring out of the sound system. Lewis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tech N9ne - Demons ( Feat Three 6 Mafia ) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chance Lewis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Lewis is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fox gets his way!

Fox has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lewis has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lewis misses with an uppercut

and Fox counters with a shoot takedown. Lewis fights it but they end up in guard.

Fox drops back looking for a leg! Lewis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lewis manages to kick Fox off! Fox jumps back into Lewis's guard.
Fox stands and throws Lewis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fallon Fox overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lewis can't do much from the bottom here.
Lewis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fox thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fox uses his free foot to push down on Lewis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lewis.
