Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Millar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lerry Sancio!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Millar manages to break the clinch.
Sancio closes this distance looking for a takedown but Millar circles away.
Millar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sancio is fending him off so far but Millar persists. Nope, Sancio circles away and we're back to standing.

Sancio rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Millar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mike Millar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Millar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sancio quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sancio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Millar.

Millar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sancio avoids it really well and circles away.

Sancio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Millar's waist but Millar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sancio off to one side.

Millar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sancio paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lerry Sancio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Millar.
I think Millar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
