The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman connects with a jab.
Varlamovs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Freeman avoids it really well and circles away.
Varlamovs defending well as Freeman loads up on a big left hand.
Freeman jabs Varlamovs to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Freeman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Freeman wants it to stay on the feet.
Varlamovs with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Freeman to score with a decent uppercut.
Varlamovs is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Varlamovs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Freeman fakes the body blow, causing Varlamovs to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Varlamovs goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
