The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Greenthumb.
Veenstra shoots in and drives through. Greenthumb sprawls well.

It looks like Doctor Greenthumb has been cut.

and Greenthumb counters with a good low kick that Veenstra was not able to check.
Veenstra lands with a hook. Greenthumb tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Greenthumb takes a swing at Veenstra's ribcage but misses.

A jab-cross combination lands for Veenstra and sends Greenthumb crashing to the mat! Veenstra follows him down to the mat - Greenthumb regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
