And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Lynch!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lynch, pushing him back against the cage.
Lynch is looking to break free of the clinch but Perez has double underhooks.
Lynch drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Perez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lynch has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lynch has had enough of the clinch but Perez keeps him there for the moment.
Perez throws an elbow but it misses.

Perez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lynch scores with a takedown into Perez's guard.
Lynch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Perez is proving hard to escape from.
Perez is trying to keep Lynch in close.
Perez doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Perez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lynch for as long as he can get away with.

Perez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lynch postures up in Perez's guard and throws a big left but Perez blocks it.

Chris Perez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lynch is defended easily by Perez.
Perez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lynch is able to avoid easily.

Perez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perez feints and as Lynch raises his hands in defense, Perez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Perez tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Perez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lynch manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lynch connects with a single shot there.
Lynch fails with a takedown attempt.

Perez forces Lynch back against the cage and clinches.

Lynch gets control of Perez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lynch will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lynch tries to roll over but Perez keeps him under control.

Lynch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Perez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well Perez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
