Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between New Tall Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Bermudez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Bermudez will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bermudez darts in and clinches Guy up against the cage.

Guy jumps guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bermudez working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Bermudez wants to pass the guard but Guy is keeping the position.

Bermudez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bermudez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bermudez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Guy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bermudez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy wants to sweep here but Bermudez controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bermudez scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bermudez stands up from Guy's guard - Bermudez perhaps looking for a knockout.

Bermudez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Guy quickly recovers to half guard.
Guy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Guy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bermudez is aware though and is defending well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bermudez is on top in guard.

Bermudez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Guy takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Bermudez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bermudez lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Guy down.

Bermudez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Guy to his feet.
Guy shoots in looking for a takedown but Bermudez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Guy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bermudez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Guy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bermudez is in Guy's guard.

Bermudez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Guy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bermudez defends well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bermudez stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Guy has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Bermudez manages to get his head free but now Guy has transitioned to an armbar! Bermudez grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Guy! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
