Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Stann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abel N Willan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Stann as Willan shoots in.
Stann lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Willan circles away quickly and effectively.
Willan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Willan duly obliges.


It looks like Dan Stann has been cut.
Willan throws a leg kick that misses.
Willan loads up on a big right hand but Stann slips the punch.
Willan jabs at Stann's body.
That kick from Willan tenderised Stann's leg. Stann is trying to keep his angry face on.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Willan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stann was covering up waiting for the punch and Willan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Willan trying to control the position from guard on top but Stann is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Willan is working Stann over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Stann on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stann tries to get out of the position.
Stann wants to stand but Willan is controlling the position.

Willan wants to control from the top but Stann keeps moving.

Stann is looking to stand up but Willan isn't so interested in that idea.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Abel N Willan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Willan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Dan Stann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abel N Willan.

Willan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stann.

Abel N Willan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Willan. That snapped Stann's head back.

Willan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stann manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Willan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Stann wants to get back to his feet but Willan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Willan throws a series of strikes that have Stann backpedaling.
Willan throws a low kick but Stann avoids it.
Willan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stann to score with a decent uppercut.
Stann keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Stann lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Willan is looking to clinch.

Willan gets the takedown into side control.
Willan is looking to take a break and control but Stann is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Willan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stann knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Stann clobbers Willan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Willan throws a series of punches but Stann avoids them all with ease.
Willan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stann slips a jab from Willan.
Willan tries to clinch but Stann is having none of it.
Stann rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Willan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Willan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stann swivels and escapes.
Stann slaps away a takedown attempt from Willan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Willan tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Stann is able to avoid easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stann moves out of range of the leg kick from Willan.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stann stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Horrible takedown by Willan or perhaps it was just good defense by Stann which made him look bad.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stann checks a leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Stann blocks the low kick.
Willan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Willan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Willan there as he acknowledges the shot.
Stann tries to clinch up but Willan circles away and keeps his distance.
Willan shoots in for a double leg but Stann sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stann fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Willan to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Willan looks to clinch but Stann throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Willan taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Dan Stann!
After winning the bout, Dan Stann thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
