PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Seba Jun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manfred Richvoten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jun kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Feather. Richvoten has chosen Over The Rainbow as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seba Jun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manfred Richvoten!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jun misses with a few strikes there.
Jun misses with a jab, cross combination.

Richvoten closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jun trying to hold on to Richvoten's head to control him but Richvoten postures up.
Richvoten controlling the pace.
Richvoten really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jun. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jun has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Richvoten is working away from the top position though.

Jun tries to bench press Richvoten off him but Richvoten keeps the position.
Jun tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Richvoten presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Richvoten has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jun clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
I really don't envy Jun right now.
Richvoten is not going to allow Jun to sit and survive in this position.
Richvoten trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Jun doesn't escape.

Richvoten really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Jun.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Richvoten controlling the positon.
Jun tries to roll but Richvoten sticks to his back.

What can Jun do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Richvoten is trying to stick to Jun's back but Jun is turning into Richvoten. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Richvoten's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jun.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Manfred Richvoten wasn't active enough on the ground.

Jun moves into the clinch successfully.

Richvoten is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Jun can't fight it off and eventually Richvoten manages to take the fight to the floor. Jun looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jun is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Manfred Richvoten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jun throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Richvoten.

Jun will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jun is on top in guard.

Jun lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Richvoten circles away quickly and effectively.
Jun throws a nice looking combination but Richvoten bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jun looks to land a combination but Richvoten avoids it well.

Richvoten drives through with a takedown into Jun's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jun has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Richvoten is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jun.

I would just about give that final round to Manfred Richvoten.
I've got Richvoten winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
