The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May misses with a head kick.

May rushes Hill and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
May is working for takedown but Hill is calmly controlling the position for now.
May tries to pull guard but Hill holds him up against the cage and eventually May drops back down to his feet.
May goes for a takedown attempt but Hill pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Collin May. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hill scoring well with a low kick there.

Hill gets tackled into the cage by May. May maintains the clinch.
May changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hill fights it off and pushes away nicely.
May is looking to land body kicks.
Nick Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
May takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Collin May has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hill tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hill slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hill throws a sloppy head kick and May moves out of range easily.

May looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

May in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hill tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from May!
