The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boon looks for a takedown but Redfield sprawls well.
Redfield misses with a hook.
Boon shoots in for a takedown but Redfield shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Boon shoots in but no luck this time.

Boon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Redfield's waist but Redfield gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boon off to one side.
Boon drops his hands momentarily and Redfield takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
