Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Tony Thom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleon Salmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thom waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Salmon.
Salmon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Thom misses with a two punch combination.
A big right from Thom misses.
Thom ducks under a wild hook from Salmon.
Thom on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Salmon. Salmon obviously looking to wear him down.
Salmon moves out of range of the strikes.
Thom is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Salmon.
Salmon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Salmon clobbers Thom with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Salmon lands a leg kick that knocks Thom off balance momentarily.
Tony Thom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thom scores with a jab.

It looks like Cleon Salmon has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thom throws a jab when Salmon was well out of range.
Salmon moves away from the strike by Thom.
Salmon throws a leg kick but Thom moved away.
Salmon throws a right and a left that Thom avoids nicely.
Thom throws out a loose jab but Salmon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Salmon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Salmon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Thom misses the target.
A decent looking cross lands there for Thom.

Thom moves out of range as Salmon strikes.
Salmon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salmon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

It looks like Tony Thom has been cut.
Thom swings for the body but Salmon moves out of range.
Thom takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Salmon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thom.
Thom defending well as Salmon loads up on a big left hand.
Salmon scores with a jab to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thom misses with a straight left.
Salmon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Salmon throws a jab when Thom was well out of range.
Thom looks to land a left hand but Salmon moved out of range nicely.
Thom is breathing heavily.
Salmon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thom.
Thom blocks a head kick by Salmon.
Thom jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Thom misses with an uppercut.

The fighters circling - Salmon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Salmon lands a lovely overhand right.
Salmon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thom throws a big shot that misses.

Salmon has managed to clinch.

Salmon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Thom, as that shot connected.
Thom swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Salmon rushes Thom and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Thom wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Salmon has him pressed against the ropes.
Salmon tries a body shot but Thom blocks it.
Thom wants to break free but Salmon has control.

Salmon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thom misses with a combination
and Salmon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Thom crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Salmon - the referee stops the clock and Thom gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Salmon. Thom manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Salmon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Thom drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Salmon has Thom up against the ropes in a clinch.

Salmon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Salmon moves in looking to clinch but Thom pushes him off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salmon connects with a solid leg kick.
Salmon plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Thom to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Thom just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
