And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Conner Kent!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kent scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Asztalos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kent asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kent is working Asztalos over with some ground and pound from side control.
Kent is putting a hurting on Asztalos here, landing some big shots from side control.
Kent in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Kent misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Asztalos is trying to buck Kent off.
Kent throws a strike aimed at the side of Asztalos's head but Asztalos avoids it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kent is looking to take a break and control but Asztalos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Asztalos is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kent has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The strikes coming from Kent are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Asztalos is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Kent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kent creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Kent is trying to ground and pound but Asztalos uses the momentary lack of control by Kent to regain half guard.
Kent thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kent not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kent throwing shots but Asztalos is blocking nicely.

Asztalos has one foot on Kent's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Kent scoring well with a low kick there.
Asztalos tests Kent's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kent looks for a takedown but Asztalos sprawls well.
Asztalos ducks under a wild hook from Kent.
Conner Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asztalos keeps the fight on the outside.
Tibo Asztalos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Asztalos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kent shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Asztalos defends it nicely.
Kent misses with a leg kick.
Asztalos misses the shot to the body.
Asztalos lands a lovely overhand right.


It looks like Conner Kent has been cut.
Kent misses with a straight left.
Kent finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Asztalos ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Asztalos looks to score with a jab to the body but Kent is just out of range.
Kent misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kent fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Asztalos.
Asztalos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kent.
Tibo Asztalos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conner Kent.
Kent plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kent doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asztalos counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kent looks winded!
Good leg kick by Asztalos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kent is trying hard to land a takedown here. Asztalos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kent doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asztalos counters with a straight right hand.
Asztalos with a nice cross.

Asztalos feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kent sprawling to the canvas! Kent rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Asztalos finish him?!


Kent is rocked!

Asztalos pounces like a tiger and cracks Kent with a vicious hook! Kent is down but not out! Asztalos follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tibo Asztalos!
