The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Suzuki forces his way into half guard.
Suzuki is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Todorov is in trouble now - Suzuki has advanced to mount!
Suzuki with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Suzuki is working for a guillotine from mount but Todorov frees his head quite easily.
Suzuki prevents Todorov from getting the reversal.
Todorov is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Suzuki locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Todorov is forced to tap!
