The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Smith throws a hook but El Batal avoids it easily.
Smith thumps El Batal with a low kick.
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by El Batal.
El Batal takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Fakhri El Batal has been cut.
El Batal takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by El Batal.
Smith takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

El Batal throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether El Batal might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Look low, kick high! Smith uses the oldest trick in the book to send El Batal tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Smith is absolutely delighted - when El Batal wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
