Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ville Laitinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ville Laitinen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ville Laitinen!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laitinen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Laitinen stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.
Laitinen just misses with a punch to the body.
Laitinen misses with a wild body shot.
Laitinen works Jackson's body with a nice hook.
Laitinen misses with a leg kick.
Laitinen attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Laitinen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Laitinen lands with a good body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nice combo by Laitinen! Oh, that's hurt him - Jackson falls to the canvas and Laitinen follows him into side control.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Laitinen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Are you kidding me?! Laitinen ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Jackson clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Ville Laitinen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
