Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hammer Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billie Ray Jorgensin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorgensin tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jorgensin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Smith looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jorgensin has picked Smith up and slammed him! Smith can't keep hold of the triangle and Jorgensin manages to pass to side control!

With the fighters up against the cage, Jorgensin throws an elbow but misses.

Smith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smith wants it to stay on the feet.
Smith shoots in but Jorgensin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jorgensin smiles and moves away.

Jorgensin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Smith sneaks back into half guard.
Jorgensin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Smith is trying to control but can't.
Jorgensin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Smith is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jorgensin is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Jorgensin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Billie Ray Jorgensin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jorgensin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
