The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakaroto throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kakaroto throws an off balance right hand
and Hill counters with a big head kick but Kakaroto shrugs it off.
Kakaroto throws a hook but Hill blocks it.
Kakaroto moves in looking to clinch but Hill pushes him off.
Hill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kakaroto.
Kakaroto wants to clinch up but Hill keeps it at a distance.
Kakaroto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hill.
Hill fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kakaroto misses with a straight right.
Hill keeps the fight on the outside.

Kakaroto rushes Hill and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hill is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hill jumps guard but Kakaroto stands there with Hill around his waist. Hill gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kakaroto tries to break the clinch but Hill is controlling the position.

Kakaroto lands a hook that snaps the head of Hill backwards.
Kakaroto throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hills head.

Kakaroto is trying to break free.
Hill is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kakaroto misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hill.

Hill has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kakaroto uses from the top position.
Hill pulls Kakaroto in close to prevent any damage.
Kakaroto wants to get up but he can't break Hill's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Hill counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hill.

Hill struggles to land a body shot inside as Kakaroto controls his hands.

Hill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hill shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hill was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hill wants to finish this one by submission but Kakaroto is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hill.
Kakaroto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kakaroto is breathing heavily.

Hill is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kakaroto is surviving well by controlling Hill's body position as best he can.

Kakaroto tries to clinch up but Hill circles away and keeps his distance.
Hill shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kakaroto defends it nicely.
Kakaroto lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Hill is looking to close the distance but Kakaroto sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Hill crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Hill is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
